In the recent past I have been involved in developing GIS-based location based websites for property and locality services through mobile payment exchange services. Currently I am a mature student (47) in my final year of a degree in International Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Greenwich. In my day job I am involved in marketing carbon trading solutions to financial institutions in the City of London. Privately, I am developing a carbon offset software project that helps small-scale forestry owners gain access to the UK carbon markets. This is achieved by enrolling their land in a Sustainable Forestry Management project under FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) scheme. These forests are located in the Baltic states. The first project pilot will be active in August 2008. I am interested in starting a CRAG (Carbon Reduction Action Group) in the Blackheath/Greenwich area.
